Today I had the opportunity to take a tour of the Maui Farm, learn about their programs, and meet some of their very inspirational participants. From their website: “The Maui Farm, Inc. is a community-based nonprofit organization providing farm-based, family-centered programs that teach essential life skills for self-sufficient living.” The farm truly changes changes the lives of young women and their families, giving them emotional support, marketable skills, and most importantly, hope for the future.
Encouraging messages are posted in gardens of their working farm and we were entertained by a new set of piglets.
