Nestled on the slopes of Haleakala is the beautiful property of the Haku Baldwin Center. The center was established by long-time horse woman and animal lover Haku Baldwin. Her goal was to foster therapeutic partnerships between people and animals, which the center continues to do today through its many programs, including: Therapeutic Horseback Riding, Pet Therapy, Humane Animal Education and the Horsemanship for Veterans Programs.
On February 19th the center celebrated the opening of a new outdoor arena with a special blessing ceremony. The ceremony honored Haku Baldwin in memoriam for her dedication and vision, as well as the many staff, volunteers and animals that have been part of this great organization and continued to keep her vision alive.
